Jenny Talbot
Jenny spent every summer on the family’s Vermont nursery working with her parents during high school and college. After graduation she moved to Florence, Italy and spent 5 years there, but she still returned home for a few months of every summer to work on the farm. In Florence Jenny worked at a nursery and started her own small garden design business.
Jenny also discovered how much she loves teaching, beginning with English and extending to classes on perennials and lectures in Italian to the Florentine garden club. When she returned to the U.S she enrolled in a Ph.D. program in Italian literature at Harvard, which she completed in 2006. Jenny brought the worlds of Italian literature and gardening together in her thesis, “The English Landscape Garden in Italy: a Literary, Cultural and Artistic Debate.”
Jenny loves working with people, creating ongoing relationships and helping transform gardens to be beautiful, useful and exciting.
